OUR ADVENTURE RIDING PARADISE
Adventure riding is taking the road less travelled, putting the journey ahead of the destination. At its most simple this may merely involve turning your back form Highway One and traveling via the back roads. Once the traffic density thins, the corners tighten up and riding for the sheer pleasure of it takes on a purpose.
However to me the real pleasure comes with the added challenge of unsealed roads and tracks in the back country where the terrain becomes more rugged and remote. Un-bridged streams, ruts, a hint of mud and off camber add the spice to make a real Adventure.
My over 40 years of off road motorcycling and work within the motorcycle industry has convinced me that New Zealand is the best place on earth to get away from the crowds and enjoy the feeling of natural dirt under your tyres. Few first world countries are blessed with such diverse terrain, scenery and topography as New Zealand. Our small population means that there is still plenty of open space to roam and enjoy Adventure riding.
Adventures big and small, gentle and extreme are still possible here in NZ.
