Save and share your photos
Photos are part of the history of our sport and recreation and most of us have a pile of them in a shoe box somewhere in the corner of a cupboard. These photos up to to the turn of the millennium are old fashioned prints, and these are often deteriorating, especially those colour ones. It is very important that you scan these prints to digital files before they deteriorate, or worse still are throuwn away in a fit of tidying. Most desktop copiers nowadays are also scanners and these can do a good job if set to 300dpi resolution and scanned to jpg format files. File sizes should be 500-600 kb. Store your scans in folders on backup hard drives and update these folders whenever you change drives and computers. Once you have done that you might like to share your photos with us. Just email your prints to me at jnick@nztrailrider.co.nz
