THE SANDPIT

The Sandpit is one of NZ's best drop-in riding areas and is only 40 minutes drive from central Auckland. Located within the confines of Woodhill forestry on 1,000 acres of sand based terrain the Sandpit boasts year round, all weather, off road riding facilities, in fact the wetter the the weather conditions the better the black sand trails are to ride. There are over one hundred kilometres of tracks in the park ranging from bulldozed 4x4 tracks and roads, to winding ATV width tracks and twisty expert single track. As the forest is planted on significant old coastal dunes there are many steep hills to try. Open most of the year round from Wednesday to Sunday.

KIMMY'S MOTOCROSS PARK

Kimmy's is one on NZ's longest running riding parks, situated west of Huntly in the Waikato. The park has a 15 km enduro loop with hill climbs, fast and tight sections. The park staging area includes extensive motocross and kiddies tracks. The park does not cater for ATV four wheelers with the exception of Kiddies four wheelers. Other facilities include a shop, washing bay and accommodation.

THUNDERCROSS VALLEY BIKE  PARK

Thundercross MX Park is just south of the Bombay Hills near Auckland. Based on rolling to steep farmland the park has an varied riding for riders of all ages and skill levels, including leaners track, A and B enduro tracks, two motocross tracks, free stye, enduro cross and supercross areas. Camping is available on site. Open wed-sunday 9-6 and monday and tuesday if its a public holiday, rain or shine mud or dust. Hire bikes also available.
